House-leaking business...

My bedroom had been facing some leaking problems from the ceiling weeks or months ago.It started from a small one, untill today's several and uncountable spots. It was actually caused by some holes or leakage on the rooftop. As it rains, the rain water leaked onto the ceiling;and next, leak down to my bedroom when the ceiling can't support the weight of the water.

Pails to store the leaking rain waters from the ceiling...

The impact area is directly above my desk where I usually do all my paperwork, revision and whatever-stuffs.Since then,I was forced to shift all these work to my dining table in the living area.No joke,it has been quite suffering to do all my stuffs, paperwork and revision on that table that had already partially filled with tissues, cotton buds, and daily household stuffs (even the smell of McDonald as my dinner).

It's quite inconvenience as all my reference books, study materials and sources of information where temporary relocated into my storeroom where those were used to be on my desk (@impact area).

These are the sources of leaking, darn it!

The most headache part is when I approached to the management about these problems,I was eventually treated as a ball that kicked here and there by the staffs.Until weeks had past, nothing seemed to be done.

But thank god, someone and the contractor did came last week.Hopefully, the holes on the roof will be fix,and ends my nightmare once and forever. So I can prepare for my final exam back at my favourite desk.

Pak Lah undersiege...again?

This is what Malaysian Insider said...
----------------------------------------------------------

Pak Lah to be PM till March; party polls may be in December
UPDATED

OCT 23 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi said today the Umno supreme council will meet next Thursday to consider bringing forward Umno polls to December.

However the Umno president said that even if the party holds its elections in December, he will still hand over power to the new Umno president only in March assuming Barisan Nasional (BN) remains in control of the government.

Abdullah has already announced he will not seek re-election as Umno president, and Datuk Seri Najib Razak is the favourite to take over the party's leadership.

The party's general assembly had been postponed to next March to ensure a smooth transition of power, but some senior Umno leaders have been asking recently for the polls to be held in December instead.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, was speaking in Beijing after opening the Khazanah Nasional Berhad' Beijing Representative (BRO) office.

Abdullah said the timeline of the power transition in March next year remains unchanged.

Bernama reports the' Prime Minister as saying "We already have a transition plan. The transition plan will be in March next year," he said after launching the Beijing representative office of Khazanah Nasional today.

Abdullah was asked by Malaysian newsmen on reports of moves by some Umno members to push for the party elections to be reverted to December this year.

The party general assembly, originally planned for December, was moved to March to pave the way for a smooth transition of leaders.

Elections for the Youth and Wanita wings of the party will also be held at the general assembly.

-----------------------------------------------------------

I smell something evil going on around UMNO.

Clearly, some factions in UMNO want Pak Lah to step even sooner than his previosly proposed "2010-power-transition plan" and the "Forced-March/2009-power-transition plan".And it also marks that the influence of Pak Lah had shifted to Najib's side drasticly, perhaps sooner than he had expected.

Never expected that he would lost his influece so fast

As Pak Lah voiced that he will go on with his 3 reformation plans before he step down.More and more factions and people in UMNO are worried about the reformation plans, especially the "upgrade" of Anti-Corruption Agency to a legal council that would have prosecution rights. They are afraid that this will be the start of their nightmare and mark an end for their sources of money via corruption and abuses of power.

This is the third time Pak Lah was undersiege. The first time,he was forced to come up with the "2010-power-transition plan",the second time he was forced to go on with the "Forced-March/2009-power-transition plan".And now people wants him to get the party election back to December and at the same time wants him to step down in December as well.

How will Pak Lah react this time? Will he push out a Ku Li as a contender to contest against Najib as a sign of protest? We will see.

Ah June...

Last weekend's MCA general assembly and party election was a drama with alot of surprises and unexpected result.Ong Tee Keat won the President of MCA with a rather narrow margin than Og Ka Ting 3 years ago, while Dr Chua Soi Lek made a superb return to the power corridors of MCA by winning in a narrow margin over Ong Ka Chuan.

MCA General Assembly 2008

Tee Keat wins, but not a perfect one.

This time's MCA party election was quite intensely contested, with 76 candidates fighting over for 31 posts including the major posts of President,Deputy President,Vice Presidents and CCs.However,in MCA Youth and MCA Wanita was rather cool and calm, only a few posts were contested, and didn't caught much of my attention.

"MCA Wars: The return of Soi Lek" - Showing Now

From the overall results after the party election, only one post get my attention, not the Deputy President or what,it's the Deputy Secretary-General post in MCA Youth. The Deputy Secretary-General post in MCA Youth was a three corner fight, and Loh Chew June defeated Ewe Tuan Aik and another candidate with a narrow margin of nearly 200 votes.

This is Ah June

Who is Loh Chew June? Well,to be frank,I'm not quite close and know him alot. But he is one of the MCA Youth members or leaders that really leave a good impression for me.Unlike some other MCA Youth leaders who like to act around and think they are smarter.I think Chew June or rather called Ah June by himself,is a humble person who are able to do stuff instead of sleeping for the next 3 years of his term.

I first came to know Ah June 2 years ago when I attended a undergrads camp and forum in Kuala Kubu Bahru. That was when I first met with the then President of MCA Ong Ka Ting and we had a closed-door dialogue with him.I still recalled I asked Ong Ka Ting a few rather so called sensitive and incisive question, regarding the political monopoly of UMNO and unfair policy for the chinese primary schools.I still clearly remember Ong Ka Ting was stunned at first and the other MCA leaders infront were not looking so good on the face. But contrary, the participants who were mostly uni students gave a loud applause to my questions, and I saw Ah June was clapping his hands and seemed to agree to my statement. He is the only MCA leaders that seemed to clap and supported my statement. From that moment on,I remember this guy in my brain - Loh Chew June.

After months,I met with Ah June again in several forums and discussion sessions,I think he wouldn't know who am I as I'm just a "kelefeh" and nobody. But his active participations in forums and activities did impressed me.At the same time,I was known he also runs a youth organization under MCA Youth that was called Sunshine Youth.Soon after that,I knew he was the coordinator in arranging Malaysian volunteers to duty for the Beijing Olympics.

Anyhow, this is not a bodek or PLP blog to show my support on Ah June nor MCA.But from my point of view, chances must be given to the younger ones or talented ones to run the job no matter in the MCA or private sector. If no chances were given, they might not have the platform to show their talent and perform themselves. For instance, last weekend,MCA Youth delegates gave the chance Ah June after so many years working in the grassroot and Youth CC.Perhaps, his good track record and harworking earn him the support and chance given.

So,Ah June, you better work hard then!Grab the chance and show what you got!

I bang into someone's...

Just yesterday noon, I bang into someone's truck at the roadside.Actually, not really bang but collided at the side...

Okay, this is how it happened.I was searching parking in somewhere to go to the bank, and there is a truck, not the big one,but something like the truck that transport ice cube. This truck was parking illegally at the road side and caused the road become even more narrow, although it had been quite narrow before this.

I admit I was careless and made a mistake for taking a good look at the other side of my car.And while I was still busy looking for carpark, suddenly,"Bang",I saw the truck's right side was sticking at my car's left side, and crushed my side mirror. For god's sake,I was suddenly shocked and get my foot on the paddle and vroom away.Well, this caused my car to get a second hit and the back.

Soon after that,my car's back door at the left side were collided till it was opened,I went down trying to shut the door up.But at the same time, the Indian truck driver was there to inspect his truck. He yelled at me,"Truck saya OK,ini lu mia pasal ar!",and off he goes in his white truck, leaving me there still trying to shut my car door.

Okay,I even missed out the truck's plate number!Which nearly caused me being fined when I went to report to the police...

But the first thing that crossed my mind after settle the police report thingy and insurance claiming stuff,it's not to get a rest or take a break, but to buy 4D =)

Still too bad,it's not my day afterall,my numbers (which I bought my car registeration number and the date) didnt strike.Sigh

And below,is the "scars" on my beloved car...

It hurts.

...really hurts...

...terribly hurt...

Very very hurt...

It's just not my day...

Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri

Hi,guys,I think I had not been updating my blog for a long long time, since June when SAPP started the storm in Malaysian politics.Busy me,was bugged by my hectic studies and student club's stuff.Hope I have more time to blog like last time =(

For the past 3 months, alot has happened in Malaysia, the petrol price was lowered two times to make the voters happy and ease the tension among people. And not to forget,RPK,Teresa and a press reporter were arrested under ISA,till recently the UMNO power-transition-saga.The whole 3 months is full of drama, but I think the climax is yet to reach.

Anyway, before I could get my hands back to blogging again,I wish all Muslim readers and viewers - Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri and happy holidays.

For those who are going for Barisan Nasional MPs or Minister's open house,I think you can consider to wear these.

SAPP moved the first step...what's next?

Sabah Progressive Party(SAPP) had dropped a powerful bomb at Pak Lah's administration this morning,as the party president Yong Teck Lee announced two of it's MP will submit or support a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister next Monday when Parliament sessions resumes. This will be the first no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister since independance. And I would regard this one of the most important political benchmark in our country's democracy history.

SAPP leaders after the announcement at the press conference.

During this moment of time, when the Pak Lah's administration is being rocked by unrest and disputes across the nation, from inside UMNO to the angry rakyat, and now he's being bombarded by one of it's BN counterpart, launching a fatal attack to force him to step down. This is a serious blow to Pak Lah,being haven't recovered from the disasterous election result and internal UMNO problems,so what's next for Pak Lah?

Pak Lah being checkmated.

There's no point of return for SAPP now,as SAPP is launching the attack straight towards Pak Lah,there's just two choices left - either Pak Lah is voted no-confidence in the Parliament and resign,or SAPP will have their ass kicked out from BN.

SAPP being the first party to react to the hoo-hah's of Anwar Ibrahim, had again proved that it's not simply a rumour that Pakatan Rakyat may form the next federal government before Hari Malaysia.Anwar kept saying he got the numbers of MPs who wanted to crossover,he would need at least 30 to do so.But,SAPP only have 2 MPs,people would ask - "Can this plan work out?" Well,I guess its not impossible.

President of SAPP,Yong Teck Lee,former chief minister of Sabah and also the mastermind of previous crossovers.

Please bear in mind,Yong Teck Lee was one of the leader of Sabah Unity Party(PBS) who planned the 1990 crossover where we saw PBS came out from BN and ruled Sabah in that year's election. And,also he was also the mastermind who crushed PBS in 1994 by organizing crossover of PBS stateassemblyman to BN and eventually helped BN to retain the power till now,in cooperation with the then Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. And from those previous record,it's not possible for Yong to work things out once again with the same person,Anwar Ibrahim. He did it before, and I think he may have the ability to do it again. We shall see that.

And I believe things might even progress faster than we have thought. There might be a second political tsunami striking Malaysia soon after 8th of March. As it was reported, while Pak Lah was in Kota Kinabalu to do some "last minute rescue"(apparently it failed) with the state BN leaders and MPs,some of the important MPs were no where to be seen such as the Kimanis MP Anifah Aman and Kalabakan MP Abdul Ghapur Salleh. Both of them were the candidates who rejected Pak Lah's administration to hold the post of deputy ministers. And Yong Teck Lee was on the absent list too. This is something interesting...

DAP being held and it's strength being limited by planned?

But at the same time, while Parti Keadilan Rakyat(PKR) was in joy and welcome SAPP's decision,Democratic Action Party(DAP) seemed not so happy about something. The exit and joining of some Sabah BN component party into Pakatan Rakyat would weaken their position in Sabah. And this would threaten DAP's progress in Sabah to emerge as a strong party and expand their political map.Quiting BN and joining Pakatan Rakyat might be a "one stone killing two bird" plan by SAPP to maintain their political position in Sabah(to hold on DAP's strength) and at the same time doing something for the sake of Sabahans and Malaysian(changing the federal governemnt).Well, why not?

Well, back to reality, whether will the no-confidence motion will be accepted by the Speaker of Parliament, this is still a question to be answered.Who will table the motion and how much no-confidence votes will be voted? And will other Sabah political parties such as PBS,LDP and UPKO etc follow the steps of SAPP to quit BN?

Insider told me that Khairy was flying to Sabah as well, trying to solve the problem for his father in law.And at the same time,Anwar will be in Sabah in the weekend to give some keynote speech or perhaps announcement?

What's next?

Expensive and high class dinner...

"Dear,do you love me?"

"Of course,I love you,my sweetheart."

"Then, why don't you bring me to some expensive or high class restaurant for dinner?"

"Yea,I did,sweetheart."

"Where got? You didn't!"

"Chill,sweetheart,I thought we went yesterday?"

"Huh? We went for dinner yesterday only at thehawker stall at the roadside, where got high class wor? And all the food also cheap cheap only."

"Sweetheart,we went to fill in petrol for our car and spent RM140 for the petrol.Still not expensive and high class enough ar?"

---------------------------------------------------------

This is one of the implications after 4th of June, when the petrol had gone up 41% or 78 cents per litre. So,it's better to settle your meal at your nearest mamak stall or cook Maggi mee at home nowadays.

It had been nearly two weeks after the fuel hike.Had you felt the pressure and the wave of General Erection?

Midnight Rush

Are you part in the midnight rush on that night to fill up your tanks?

What to rush? After a week or two, you still have to pat for RM2.70 per litre.Aiyoyo...

While Petronas enjoy profit around 800 billion Ringgit, and the government gets around 300 billion to 400 billion Ringgit of tax pay from Petronas. We are suffering from massive price hike ranging from petrol to toilet roll and Maggi mee...

The rakyat is the bos of the country. While the government is just the employee. When the boss is not happy with his employee because they demand too much salary but doing a horrible job, just fire them! And hire a new employee which requires a lower salary but might deliver a better job!

General Erection....again....

After the 12th General Election on 8th of March, here comes another wave of General Erection.

Filling petrol nowadays is just like burning money in the car.

Petrol - New price=RM2.70 ,78cents (40.3%) hike from previous rate.
Diesel - New price=rm2.58 ,RM1 (63.3%) hike from previos rate.
Electricity - Household rate=Approx 18% hike, Comercial and Industrial rate=Approx 26% hike.

This is just the first wave...I bet the second wave is coming soon.As petrol and diesel rate on the hike, this will cause another chain reaction on the price of all daily products and utilities, ranging from food to building material etc.

Show me my money!

At the same time, the government had decided to go on with a new policy,to give rebate or subsidy to certain automobile owners. For car owners which his/her car's cc is under 2000cc,the government will give a RM625 rebate and for motorcyclist with motorcycle below 250cc,a rebate of RM150 will be given.

It's going up all the time!

This is already the FIFTH time the price of petrol is being adjusted(raised) since Pak Lah took office. However, the rakyat are still quite shocked and confused with the new system and policy.Despite the so called rebate/subsidy system, the rakyat is still unhappy with it,as the inflation rate might reach a new high of 5% this year, which will eventually burden the rakyat more.

The anger and unhappiness of the rakyat is building up.Shall we see another Tsunami due to this "quake" soon? Let us just wait and see. Perhaps,we'll have the answer before 16th of Sepetember.

We are Malaysians, and be proud of it!

Junior sent me a Youtube clip days ago, which I haven't really got a chance to look at it.And today, while I was browsing through the net,I remembered about this clip and have a look at it...It's a music video (MV) entittled "Here in my home" by various Malaysian artistes.

I felt quite like this MV at first,it sounds nice. But when I listen it for the second and third times,I felt touched and it reminds me alot of things...

Malaysia is a good and harmony country, blessed with rich resources and her unique culture and people - the Malaysians.Although there are differences of race, religion or culture between Malaysians, but this is not a barrier to stop Malaysians for loving each other and live together under one roof. The colour of skin or religion rules are not the problem for Malaysian to unite together, and I believe most Malaysian can accept and accomodate with each other's differences.

From the lyrics: "Oh there’s a misspoken truth that lies Colors don’t bind, oh no.What do they know? They speak falsely."

And,there are some political parties, some political personels (not politicians lol, that's for a gentlemen!),and some people who still lie in their own world. They kept on causing tension and conflict among races and religions. They will try to flame some small issues into a big issue, and cause hatred and anger between races and religions, just for the sake of their own good and benefits. They couldn't accept a harmonious Malaysian community, but wanted and divided Malaysian community where "divide and rule" is present.

The actor who waved keris

For example, this would most suitable to describe to this actor who waved the keris times and times, but at the same time running some unfair policies to the other people;or some people who kept voicing out racial issues, but they themselves didn't even wanted to sit down to discuss and solve the issues!

Ladies and gentlemen,I'm ethnic chinese born and bred in Malaysia, but I have no difference with you or her or him, this is because we are all human and Malaysian. Why must we fill in the forms and write what bangsa or kaum we are? We are all Malaysians!

So,please...don't be prejudice to other people from different races or religion, you and I are just the same.Let us not quarrel and make noise on who gets more or who gets less,we help those who need help with justice,no matter what race or religion you are, because we are all Malaysians.

Malaysians blessed with different unique cultures

I love Malaysia and this land where I had always live,as a Malaysian...not Chinese, not Malay not Indian, but as a Malaysian. This is more than just unity or harmony, but love.

And thus,I hate those racist political crappers who ruin and pollute this beautiful land of Malaysia, here in my home.

We are Malaysians, and be proud of it!

Something about myself...

Well,it's 12.45am in the morning, and here I am,another sleepless night buried under loads of my notes and problems...

To be frank,I'm loaded with some personal problems lately,it had been quite complicated and a hard time for me.But,however still I'm doinbg my best to overcome it and wheater the storm.I always believe there is good sunny day behind the storms I'm facing now.I hope everything will be fine afterall.

And too, studies had never been so hectic for me.Since I missed quite a number of lessons and classes due to my election-campaign work for the last General Election,I have to "scan" through all the notes and lectures I missed now.As my final exam is approaching,I'm racing with the time to get as much things into my head as possible.

The worst is,I'm kinda lost touch with all the current issues nowadays.I just managed to browse through the headlines of Malaysiakini and Merdekareview, but not viewing it or read it fully, because I really don't have that much time.

Guys, wish me luck, just hope that everything will be fine. And of course, for my coming finals.

Crackdown at Bandar Mahkota Cheras

First of all,I didn't blog recently not because of Raja Petra's arrestment by the police.Actually,I was quite busy recently till I can hardly find a good time to blog. But something that happened nights ago,had caused an enourmous anger in my heart and drive me straight to this blog.

Look at the video below, and you'll know why.

Again, the police were using excessive force and violence against the people, oops, not only people, even YB!

Bandar Mahkota Cheras is a hot issue nowadays.Let's just summarise the whole story and let you guys have an idea what is going on.Bandar Mahkota Cheras is a housing area in around Bandar Sungai Long. The housing area has a road entrance into the Kajang-Cheras Expressway, towards Kuala Lumpur. But the management of the Kajang-Cheras Expressway,Grand Saga decided to build a barricade infront of the road entrance into Bandar Mahkota Cheras in order to prevent vehicles from using it as an alternative road to surpass the Batu 11 Toll which is a few kilometers away from the entrance. And this had also forced thousands of Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents to take a longer route and longer time to make way into the expressway and to Kuala Lumpur, and now they even have to pay toll!

Let's look at this satelite map to have a clearer view.

From the map above we can see the blue line which was the route that Bandar Mahkota Cheras resident could use to gain excess to Kajang-Cheras Expressway into KL.And the red line shows the route the residents have to use now after the road was blocked.A 5 minutes journey was turned into 45 minutes due to the blocked road entrance, and the worst part is they have to pay for an additional toll!

And here's the land surveyor's map, that shows how the barricade was placed.

The residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras had been "squeezed" by Grand Saga and lost their rights of using roads. After 8th March, the newly formed Pakatan Rakyat Selangor government had made a plan to order Grand saga to remove the barricade as the barricade is placed on the land of Selangor state. But Grand Saga decided to play on by moving its barricade 4 feet behind the current ones so that the barricade would be in their land but not Selangor state's,to ensure the road entrance are still blocked!

And the interesting part is how on earth Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (which was directly under the control of Ministry of Works) could approve Grand Saga to do such a ridiculous decision?! The federal government seemed like they have nothing to do with this and neglected the problems that faced by thousands of residents. The police too played an "important" role to "escort" the Grand Saga personnel to place the barricade again and again after being demolished by the angry residents times and times. And this time, the police even use force and ciolence against the people for the sake of only an expressway company, not for the people!

During the incident nights before, the Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng was injured and two more residents were arrested by the police.

Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng being thrashed and pepper-sprayed by the police,a resident who was trying to protect YB Lim was arrested.

So you see now,the police together with the Barisan Nasional federal government assisting it's crony Grand Saga to block and steal the people's right to use roads, and for the sake of their crony's benifits and personal interest. Thanks for the another 51% of voters that voted Barisan Nasional.

Although I might not be at the scene at Bandar Mahkota Cheras to show my support, but still I'm with the residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras, with full support from the bottom of my heart. This is the people's power and people's rights.

Let the sound of the people roar! Hidup Rakyat!

Back in action!

After 3 months of silence in Reflections, finally Kee Wai broke the silence, and is back in action!

Sorry to all my dear readers and viewers.Sorry to dissapoint you guys each time you click on to my site, what you see is the same old post. But I'm assuring you from now on,I'll be updating my blog regularly, and doing it in the same old Kee-Wai-style.

I realised that my last post was on last year's Boxing Day,although I've not been blogging for the past 3 months, but this doesn't mean that I'm resting or relaxing all the time.To be frank,my life gets even busier during my absence from Reflections.

So,what is Kee Wai doing for the past 3 months? Answer - The 12th General Election.

Yeah, the 12th General Election had just ended. The whole 2 weeks before 8th of March,I was busying campaigning for the candidates in my area - Sivarasa for Subang Parliament Constituency and Elizabeth Wong (Ellie!) for Bukit Lanjan State Constituency. And constantly,I've been keeping in touch with my friends and comrades across the nation to get latest news and analysis for the election.

Alamak,my kampung is in an opposition state, and my office is in an opposition state as well!

Soon after 8th of March, the nation witnessed one of the most glorious moment in Malaysia's democracy history when the rulling Barisan Nasional coallition suffered it's most terrible defeat since 1969,by losing 2/3 majority in Parliament and 5 states to the Barisan Rakyat. And I was there, staying infront of computer, telephone and cellphone,to get latest results and developments across the nation. For that moment I suddenly felt touched, after 50 years of independant, for the first time,Malaysian showed their courage and eagerness to change the rotten Barisan Nasional government.I'm proud to be a Malaysian :-)

But things doesn't get easy after that,as the new state government need to be formed, more and challenges and tasks are waiting ahead.Barisan Rakyat is still a newbie in rulling a state and it's people. They need some time and assistance. And this is what I'm doing,to help them in any manner that I can.

And at last, the same old thing that is bugging me - studies.Well, although I didn't blogged about my studies,it doesn't mean that I'm not studying.Just that,I don't wanna bring my nightmare (studies!) in to my blog, this gonna ruin my mood,guys...

Anyhow, please come back and check out on new updates on Reflections. As what Parti Keadilan Rakyat said in it's manifestoes,a new dawn for Malaysia, and I'm adding this - "A new start for Reflections"
