Pak Lah undersiege...again?

This is what Malaysian Insider said...
----------------------------------------------------------

Pak Lah to be PM till March; party polls may be in December
UPDATED

OCT 23 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi said today the Umno supreme council will meet next Thursday to consider bringing forward Umno polls to December.

However the Umno president said that even if the party holds its elections in December, he will still hand over power to the new Umno president only in March assuming Barisan Nasional (BN) remains in control of the government.

Abdullah has already announced he will not seek re-election as Umno president, and Datuk Seri Najib Razak is the favourite to take over the party's leadership.

The party's general assembly had been postponed to next March to ensure a smooth transition of power, but some senior Umno leaders have been asking recently for the polls to be held in December instead.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, was speaking in Beijing after opening the Khazanah Nasional Berhad' Beijing Representative (BRO) office.

Abdullah said the timeline of the power transition in March next year remains unchanged.

Bernama reports the' Prime Minister as saying "We already have a transition plan. The transition plan will be in March next year," he said after launching the Beijing representative office of Khazanah Nasional today.

Abdullah was asked by Malaysian newsmen on reports of moves by some Umno members to push for the party elections to be reverted to December this year.

The party general assembly, originally planned for December, was moved to March to pave the way for a smooth transition of leaders.

Elections for the Youth and Wanita wings of the party will also be held at the general assembly.

-----------------------------------------------------------

I smell something evil going on around UMNO.

Clearly, some factions in UMNO want Pak Lah to step even sooner than his previosly proposed "2010-power-transition plan" and the "Forced-March/2009-power-transition plan".And it also marks that the influence of Pak Lah had shifted to Najib's side drasticly, perhaps sooner than he had expected.

Never expected that he would lost his influece so fast

As Pak Lah voiced that he will go on with his 3 reformation plans before he step down.More and more factions and people in UMNO are worried about the reformation plans, especially the "upgrade" of Anti-Corruption Agency to a legal council that would have prosecution rights. They are afraid that this will be the start of their nightmare and mark an end for their sources of money via corruption and abuses of power.

This is the third time Pak Lah was undersiege. The first time,he was forced to come up with the "2010-power-transition plan",the second time he was forced to go on with the "Forced-March/2009-power-transition plan".And now people wants him to get the party election back to December and at the same time wants him to step down in December as well.

How will Pak Lah react this time? Will he push out a Ku Li as a contender to contest against Najib as a sign of protest? We will see.

Ah June...

Last weekend's MCA general assembly and party election was a drama with alot of surprises and unexpected result.Ong Tee Keat won the President of MCA with a rather narrow margin than Og Ka Ting 3 years ago, while Dr Chua Soi Lek made a superb return to the power corridors of MCA by winning in a narrow margin over Ong Ka Chuan.

MCA General Assembly 2008

Tee Keat wins, but not a perfect one.

This time's MCA party election was quite intensely contested, with 76 candidates fighting over for 31 posts including the major posts of President,Deputy President,Vice Presidents and CCs.However,in MCA Youth and MCA Wanita was rather cool and calm, only a few posts were contested, and didn't caught much of my attention.

"MCA Wars: The return of Soi Lek" - Showing Now

From the overall results after the party election, only one post get my attention, not the Deputy President or what,it's the Deputy Secretary-General post in MCA Youth. The Deputy Secretary-General post in MCA Youth was a three corner fight, and Loh Chew June defeated Ewe Tuan Aik and another candidate with a narrow margin of nearly 200 votes.

This is Ah June

Who is Loh Chew June? Well,to be frank,I'm not quite close and know him alot. But he is one of the MCA Youth members or leaders that really leave a good impression for me.Unlike some other MCA Youth leaders who like to act around and think they are smarter.I think Chew June or rather called Ah June by himself,is a humble person who are able to do stuff instead of sleeping for the next 3 years of his term.

I first came to know Ah June 2 years ago when I attended a undergrads camp and forum in Kuala Kubu Bahru. That was when I first met with the then President of MCA Ong Ka Ting and we had a closed-door dialogue with him.I still recalled I asked Ong Ka Ting a few rather so called sensitive and incisive question, regarding the political monopoly of UMNO and unfair policy for the chinese primary schools.I still clearly remember Ong Ka Ting was stunned at first and the other MCA leaders infront were not looking so good on the face. But contrary, the participants who were mostly uni students gave a loud applause to my questions, and I saw Ah June was clapping his hands and seemed to agree to my statement. He is the only MCA leaders that seemed to clap and supported my statement. From that moment on,I remember this guy in my brain - Loh Chew June.

After months,I met with Ah June again in several forums and discussion sessions,I think he wouldn't know who am I as I'm just a "kelefeh" and nobody. But his active participations in forums and activities did impressed me.At the same time,I was known he also runs a youth organization under MCA Youth that was called Sunshine Youth.Soon after that,I knew he was the coordinator in arranging Malaysian volunteers to duty for the Beijing Olympics.

Anyhow, this is not a bodek or PLP blog to show my support on Ah June nor MCA.But from my point of view, chances must be given to the younger ones or talented ones to run the job no matter in the MCA or private sector. If no chances were given, they might not have the platform to show their talent and perform themselves. For instance, last weekend,MCA Youth delegates gave the chance Ah June after so many years working in the grassroot and Youth CC.Perhaps, his good track record and harworking earn him the support and chance given.

So,Ah June, you better work hard then!Grab the chance and show what you got!

SAPP moved the first step...what's next?

Sabah Progressive Party(SAPP) had dropped a powerful bomb at Pak Lah's administration this morning,as the party president Yong Teck Lee announced two of it's MP will submit or support a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister next Monday when Parliament sessions resumes. This will be the first no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister since independance. And I would regard this one of the most important political benchmark in our country's democracy history.

SAPP leaders after the announcement at the press conference.

During this moment of time, when the Pak Lah's administration is being rocked by unrest and disputes across the nation, from inside UMNO to the angry rakyat, and now he's being bombarded by one of it's BN counterpart, launching a fatal attack to force him to step down. This is a serious blow to Pak Lah,being haven't recovered from the disasterous election result and internal UMNO problems,so what's next for Pak Lah?

Pak Lah being checkmated.

There's no point of return for SAPP now,as SAPP is launching the attack straight towards Pak Lah,there's just two choices left - either Pak Lah is voted no-confidence in the Parliament and resign,or SAPP will have their ass kicked out from BN.

SAPP being the first party to react to the hoo-hah's of Anwar Ibrahim, had again proved that it's not simply a rumour that Pakatan Rakyat may form the next federal government before Hari Malaysia.Anwar kept saying he got the numbers of MPs who wanted to crossover,he would need at least 30 to do so.But,SAPP only have 2 MPs,people would ask - "Can this plan work out?" Well,I guess its not impossible.

President of SAPP,Yong Teck Lee,former chief minister of Sabah and also the mastermind of previous crossovers.

Please bear in mind,Yong Teck Lee was one of the leader of Sabah Unity Party(PBS) who planned the 1990 crossover where we saw PBS came out from BN and ruled Sabah in that year's election. And,also he was also the mastermind who crushed PBS in 1994 by organizing crossover of PBS stateassemblyman to BN and eventually helped BN to retain the power till now,in cooperation with the then Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. And from those previous record,it's not possible for Yong to work things out once again with the same person,Anwar Ibrahim. He did it before, and I think he may have the ability to do it again. We shall see that.

And I believe things might even progress faster than we have thought. There might be a second political tsunami striking Malaysia soon after 8th of March. As it was reported, while Pak Lah was in Kota Kinabalu to do some "last minute rescue"(apparently it failed) with the state BN leaders and MPs,some of the important MPs were no where to be seen such as the Kimanis MP Anifah Aman and Kalabakan MP Abdul Ghapur Salleh. Both of them were the candidates who rejected Pak Lah's administration to hold the post of deputy ministers. And Yong Teck Lee was on the absent list too. This is something interesting...

DAP being held and it's strength being limited by planned?

But at the same time, while Parti Keadilan Rakyat(PKR) was in joy and welcome SAPP's decision,Democratic Action Party(DAP) seemed not so happy about something. The exit and joining of some Sabah BN component party into Pakatan Rakyat would weaken their position in Sabah. And this would threaten DAP's progress in Sabah to emerge as a strong party and expand their political map.Quiting BN and joining Pakatan Rakyat might be a "one stone killing two bird" plan by SAPP to maintain their political position in Sabah(to hold on DAP's strength) and at the same time doing something for the sake of Sabahans and Malaysian(changing the federal governemnt).Well, why not?

Well, back to reality, whether will the no-confidence motion will be accepted by the Speaker of Parliament, this is still a question to be answered.Who will table the motion and how much no-confidence votes will be voted? And will other Sabah political parties such as PBS,LDP and UPKO etc follow the steps of SAPP to quit BN?

Insider told me that Khairy was flying to Sabah as well, trying to solve the problem for his father in law.And at the same time,Anwar will be in Sabah in the weekend to give some keynote speech or perhaps announcement?

What's next?

Midnight Rush

Are you part in the midnight rush on that night to fill up your tanks?

What to rush? After a week or two, you still have to pat for RM2.70 per litre.Aiyoyo...

While Petronas enjoy profit around 800 billion Ringgit, and the government gets around 300 billion to 400 billion Ringgit of tax pay from Petronas. We are suffering from massive price hike ranging from petrol to toilet roll and Maggi mee...

The rakyat is the bos of the country. While the government is just the employee. When the boss is not happy with his employee because they demand too much salary but doing a horrible job, just fire them! And hire a new employee which requires a lower salary but might deliver a better job!

General Erection....again....

After the 12th General Election on 8th of March, here comes another wave of General Erection.

Filling petrol nowadays is just like burning money in the car.

Petrol - New price=RM2.70 ,78cents (40.3%) hike from previous rate.
Diesel - New price=rm2.58 ,RM1 (63.3%) hike from previos rate.
Electricity - Household rate=Approx 18% hike, Comercial and Industrial rate=Approx 26% hike.

This is just the first wave...I bet the second wave is coming soon.As petrol and diesel rate on the hike, this will cause another chain reaction on the price of all daily products and utilities, ranging from food to building material etc.

Show me my money!

At the same time, the government had decided to go on with a new policy,to give rebate or subsidy to certain automobile owners. For car owners which his/her car's cc is under 2000cc,the government will give a RM625 rebate and for motorcyclist with motorcycle below 250cc,a rebate of RM150 will be given.

It's going up all the time!

This is already the FIFTH time the price of petrol is being adjusted(raised) since Pak Lah took office. However, the rakyat are still quite shocked and confused with the new system and policy.Despite the so called rebate/subsidy system, the rakyat is still unhappy with it,as the inflation rate might reach a new high of 5% this year, which will eventually burden the rakyat more.

The anger and unhappiness of the rakyat is building up.Shall we see another Tsunami due to this "quake" soon? Let us just wait and see. Perhaps,we'll have the answer before 16th of Sepetember.

Crackdown at Bandar Mahkota Cheras

First of all,I didn't blog recently not because of Raja Petra's arrestment by the police.Actually,I was quite busy recently till I can hardly find a good time to blog. But something that happened nights ago,had caused an enourmous anger in my heart and drive me straight to this blog.

Look at the video below, and you'll know why.

Again, the police were using excessive force and violence against the people, oops, not only people, even YB!

Bandar Mahkota Cheras is a hot issue nowadays.Let's just summarise the whole story and let you guys have an idea what is going on.Bandar Mahkota Cheras is a housing area in around Bandar Sungai Long. The housing area has a road entrance into the Kajang-Cheras Expressway, towards Kuala Lumpur. But the management of the Kajang-Cheras Expressway,Grand Saga decided to build a barricade infront of the road entrance into Bandar Mahkota Cheras in order to prevent vehicles from using it as an alternative road to surpass the Batu 11 Toll which is a few kilometers away from the entrance. And this had also forced thousands of Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents to take a longer route and longer time to make way into the expressway and to Kuala Lumpur, and now they even have to pay toll!

Let's look at this satelite map to have a clearer view.

From the map above we can see the blue line which was the route that Bandar Mahkota Cheras resident could use to gain excess to Kajang-Cheras Expressway into KL.And the red line shows the route the residents have to use now after the road was blocked.A 5 minutes journey was turned into 45 minutes due to the blocked road entrance, and the worst part is they have to pay for an additional toll!

And here's the land surveyor's map, that shows how the barricade was placed.

The residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras had been "squeezed" by Grand Saga and lost their rights of using roads. After 8th March, the newly formed Pakatan Rakyat Selangor government had made a plan to order Grand saga to remove the barricade as the barricade is placed on the land of Selangor state. But Grand Saga decided to play on by moving its barricade 4 feet behind the current ones so that the barricade would be in their land but not Selangor state's,to ensure the road entrance are still blocked!

And the interesting part is how on earth Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (which was directly under the control of Ministry of Works) could approve Grand Saga to do such a ridiculous decision?! The federal government seemed like they have nothing to do with this and neglected the problems that faced by thousands of residents. The police too played an "important" role to "escort" the Grand Saga personnel to place the barricade again and again after being demolished by the angry residents times and times. And this time, the police even use force and ciolence against the people for the sake of only an expressway company, not for the people!

During the incident nights before, the Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng was injured and two more residents were arrested by the police.

Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng being thrashed and pepper-sprayed by the police,a resident who was trying to protect YB Lim was arrested.

So you see now,the police together with the Barisan Nasional federal government assisting it's crony Grand Saga to block and steal the people's right to use roads, and for the sake of their crony's benifits and personal interest. Thanks for the another 51% of voters that voted Barisan Nasional.

Although I might not be at the scene at Bandar Mahkota Cheras to show my support, but still I'm with the residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras, with full support from the bottom of my heart. This is the people's power and people's rights.

Let the sound of the people roar! Hidup Rakyat!

Chinese Deputy Prime Minister for Malaysia?

It had been wide-spread that PM,Abdullah had unofficially offered the position of 2nd Deputy Prime Minister to MCA's President,Ong Ka Ting,IF BN manage to maintain it's 2/3 majority seats in Parliament in the coming election.

I'm not sure that is this a rumour or true fact, but indeed this is another no-choice-left strategy, hoping to gain back some support from the deteriorating Chinese support on the Abdullah administration.

It's a fact nowadays that, there's alot of disatisfactory among the Chinese community to the Abdullah administration and the BN rulling coallition. From the pig farmers issue,to the Kerismuddin incident, till the unfair policies in the nation, there's too much negative issues widely spreaded and felt by the Chinese community.

There's even speculation that MCA and GERAKAN would lost half of it's contested seats in the coming General Election. And some UMNO seats might as well fall to the oppositions as the minority Chinese votes had become the key vote to win,due to the diverged Malay votes.

Ka Ting as the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister? Is this the "secret weapon" and also a final option that the Abdullah administration would use to gain back Chinese support in the next General Election?

But I would be more interested to see how the Malay community,Malay-based political party and other BN component party response.

Abdullah Administration in horror, creating Malaysia into heaven...

The Abdullah administration is in a great horror nowadays. He was scared for failing to turn Malaysia into a heaven.

As we had thought,Pak Lah and his government would try to create a nice atmosphere and good condition to set up a "good-factor" for the coming general election.Roads had been repaired, street lamps had been installed,KLSE is knocking the highest point, these all are "good-factors".So,many of us thought that Pak Lah would try his best to accomodate and satisfy some situation going on earlier in this country.

But,things turned out to be different now.

Pak Lah seemed to turn his steering 180 degree to another side.He don't care about the "good-factor" or nice atmosphere for election anymore. What he is doing now,is to set up a "massive-sweep" across the nation,to sweep out those "bad-factors" such as the HINDRAF and BERSIH thingy and those who oppose him and the BN government.

5 HINDRAF leaders were detained under ISA(Internal Security Act) yesterday for two years,as IGP Tan Sri Musa had said. And the funniest thing is these leaders were detained under the reason of jeopardizing the public security.Well, they are not terrorist nor Al-Qaeda,I don't see this is a strong reason to detain them, and I would likely to call this a political detention.Well,as far as I concern, these leaders are still undergoing a few charges in the court. Why must ISA being used? Why can't they being charged and judged fairly in the courts?

And days before, there's been a massive sweep across the nation as we see dozens of BERSIH rally organizers being arrested including Tian Chua,Mohamad Sabu and so on.And more earlier, for the first time in the history of Malaysia,we see protestors who were arrested atteding an illegal assembly being charged for attempt to murder.

And just on yesterday night,we see the police and FRU clamp-down the Klang Hokkien Assosiation Building. There's supposed to be a ceramah old by PKR in Klang Hokkien Assosiation Building last night, but the police had acted to clamp-down and blocked the way into the venue, causing the ceramah to turn into outdoor and rally-form.But,still around 4000 people turned up for the ceramah.

What is all these going on? The Abdullah administration is using strong ways and harsh surpression to solve its own problems. From here,we can see a clear point that the Abdullah administration is in horror and in great fear of something, they wanted to "erase" these "bad-elements" out of their way.

Still remember Pak Lah's angry face on the last day of UMNO assembly? "Saya pantang dicabar!"

So,now what? OK,fine. When Pak Lah get all the so-called "trouble-makers" into ISA and jail, and get done with his "massive-sweep" to sweep those who oppose or against him,the country will be peaceful and prosper as he thought.

No people will be discriminated. No one need to be responsible. No one will be embarrased. No one will be in a horror. No one will dicabar. No one will care about clean and free election. No one will care about the ethnic Indians. No one will care about the law. No one will care about the rakyat's rights.

All will just be peaceful and quiet..hmm...

Ahh..Malaysia..what a heaven place to live in...

Blackest day ever in Parliament

Today marks the blackest day ever in the Parliament.

What do we learn in Pengajian Am or Pengajian Malaysia while we're in For 6 or IPT? We learn about Parliament is a symbol of democracy, and it is a symbol of sanctity as the highest place for legislative and the voice of rakyat being heard.

But today, over 20 people were arrested, some even were arrested inside the parliament area.Parti Keadilan's Information Chief Tian Chua was arrested infront of Parliament,in a road block by police.Syafiq Sunny has some photos.

This was how Tian Chua was arrested.

While some others arrested included PAS leader,Mustapha Ali and Dr. Hatta Ramli,Suaram executive director,Yap Swee Seng,Writers Alliance for Media Independence chairperson Wong Chin Huat and Centre for Independent Journalism executive director V.Gayathry and etc. They were arrested in the Parliament after handing over the memorandum to the opposition leaders. And I was greatly in shock after knowing that the arrest had been made in the Parliament compound,it was a huge abuse and contempt to the Parliament.

Video clip coverage by Malaysiakini on Youtube

These people did not come with parangs, keris or guns. They came with a memorandum,a memorandum for a cleaner election and a better Malaysia. But at the end, they were arrested.Did you see violence? No. Did you see a massive illegal assembly around? No. And yet, they were still arrested.

Well...don't cry for me,Malaysia, the truth is - These happen in Malaysia, not Pakistan or Myanmar.

50 years of nationhood, all these happened in the 50 years old Parliament.

A day before UN International Human Rights Day..."Oops,you are under arrest!"

While I was having a dialogue with the BAR secretary Mr Lim Chee Wee this morning,I was being informed by Mr Lim that 7 people were arrested in this morning's Human Rights Day activities in KL.(I found out it was 9 till the end of day)

Some hundreds of people go on with the walk from Sogo to Central Market this morning, although the walk scheduled as the People's Freedom Walk had been called off earlier. But,they were blocked by the police with an outnumbered situation while the unofficial walk is going on,,and with no choice left the unofficial walk had to be cancelled.

I was told that the police earlier had granted the crowd a permission to walk for 10 minutes, but then the police didn't keep to their words and do what they had promised, but blocked the crowd and warned the crowd to disperse.

In the meantime they were dispersing upon the police orders,8 were arrested, they were the Bar Council Human Rights Committee deputy chairman Amir Hamzah Arshad,N.Surendren, senior counsel R.Sivarasa and his colleague,Latheefa Koya, while among the NGO personnel arrested were Eric Paulsen,Anthony Andu and Noor Aza Othman.Frankly,I'm totally so shock about the arrest made, things must have gone very wrong if they even arrest lawyers...

The guy in black shirt negotiating with the DBKL officer is Edmund Bon.Photo by BAR council

And in noon,as the event was going on in the indoor inside the BAR Council building,Bar Council Human Rughts Committee chairman,Edmond Bon was arrested by police for obstructing the DBKL officers from pursuing their duties.Edmund was arrested when he was trying to stop the DBKL officers to take down the banners from the Bar council building. However, please bear in mind that the DBKL officers this noon were carrying their duties without warrant.

And the worst part is,those who were arrested even were not permitted by the police to meet their lawyers. The BAR council chairwoman expressed her disappointment on the police.

Watch and listen carefully...

In today as well,14 persons that were related to the BERSIH rally were arrested today, all over the nation.PAS vice president Mohamad Sabu was arrested during his daughter's wedding in Ipoh,PKR Information Chief Tian Chua was arrested in a Suaram function in Johor Baru, and the others were mostly the rally's Amal team members that guarded the rally.

Malaysian government and police, again gave a big punch to the country and its people just before the UN International Human Rights Day by making so many arrest. And some of it,were even unlawful and not reasonable arrest.

While we are celebrating the International Human Rights Day,maybe the guys in Putrajaya and Bukit Aman would ask,"Human rights? What human rights?I just know you are not RIGHT!"

And again,lagi-lagi,this is democracy Malaysian-style...

Before I forget,by the time I blogged this, none of them were released. Please update me if tehre is any information.Thanks...

The walk is off,but the spirit lives on...

Well, regarding to the People's Freedom Walk which scheduled to be held on this Sunday morning by Bar council had been cancelled.

Although no clear reasons had been stated out.But I doubted that the walk had been call abort due to the possibilities to be "hijacked" by BERSIH or Hindraf protestors. As days before,BERSIH and Hindraf were calling for a massive assembly during the People's Freedom Walk. The Bar council wouldn't like to see the purpose and objective of the walk to be "hijacked" or "altered".

But one thing for sure, although the walk is cancelled, but the music performance which is scheduled at around 9 am in the Central market will go on as usual. So,do drop by if you guys are free.

Although the walk is called off,but the spirit for human rights and freedom still lives on.

Democracy with UMNO-gangster-style

This is democracy with UMNO-gangster-style,in November 26 Kelantan State Assembly meeting, where you'll see an UMNO YB performing flying-kick on the PAS State Exco and YB.

Watch carefully

Shame on UMNO YB's.They can't even behave well, although being the opposition side, despite already having two abang adik in the parliament.Look HERE if you can't remember what they had done.

Violence? What violence?

The police and news kept stating Hindraf rally's protestors' violence act and behavior these few days, and in the meantime, the police even denied usage of excessive force and violence on the protestors.

I received an email with some photos from a friend of mine, again,I'll let the photos do the talking.

My friend didn't state the source of the photo in his email,if you know do let me know.Anyway, thanks to the guys who took these photos.Photos always do the best when talking truth.

Ladies and gentleman, this is Malaysian Royal Police Force(PDRM) performing democracy Malaysian-style.

Hindraf's rally harsh suppression by police

This is what happened in Kuala Lumpur yesterday when thousands of Indians went on the street to support the Hindraf's rally.

But I'm sure today headlines of the all newspapers in the nation doesn't show those photos, instead of these...

The major newspapers in the country totally said nothing about the excessive force and violence that the police forces had used, instead they reported about the vandalism did by the protestors, police injured and "violence act" by the protestors. As if that the police weren't using violence? As if the police didn't sweep the crowd by excessive force?

Thanks to the photos from Malaysiakini.I'll let the photos talk.

Is this the way police treat a bunch of unarmed people?

Violence?What violence?

Jeff Ooi got some good photos too, which clearly told the true story behind all these media cover up's.Such as - The night before Hindraf's rally, the police and FRU gave a harsh welcome those who just arrive in KL or still in sleep in Batu Caves, see it HERE.And for more about violence of the police?Look HERE.I'm sure you won't see this on the newspapers or TV.

Thanks to Malaysiakini for the photos. For more Malaysiakini's photos, you can see it HERE

Again, this is democracy Malaysian style...this time with some different smells...

Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf)'s rally today had been violently swept by the police forces.KL had became a battlefield filled with teargas, police and Indians.Although the police forces had clamped down the whole Kuala Lumpur since Saturday night, but still around 5000 to 10000 people, mostly ethnic Indians turned up to the rally.

The main objective of Hindraf to sent a memorandum to the British High Commission to file a claim against United Kingdom to seek RM14 trillion damage for bringing indentured labourers to this country and exploiting them for the last 150 years.

But is that all?

NO,I think this is the voices of the marginalised Indian community, that rises the failure of MIC that represent the Indians and the true fact that the country's racial dicriminating policies. This rally had eventually reflected the problems and the real situation of most ethnic Indians in our country, being marginalised and discriminated.

Again this is a second blow for Pak Lah's adminitration in a month,a double salvo in just 15 days, followed by the BERSIH rally on 10th Novemeber.I think he won't be sleeping well in the Presidental Suite in Uganda.

OK,back to the story, and of course,Hindraf's main objective was not achieve due to the heavy blocks by the police around the embassy area and declaration of curfew in that area.

Reason of curfew ad sweeping - it's an illegal rally.OK,now by just using a brain of even a 5 year old kid, they can tell you, this rally is illegal because the police weren't giving out the permit. So,if the police are giving out the permit,it wouldn't be illegal, and it'll be a peacceful and legal rally.

But the police just make it nasty.

By Al-Jazeera on Youtube

Violence had been used to the protesters, dozens of tear gas and rounds of chemical-laced water cannons had been fired towards the protester. This time police was no more rational and tolerence like the BERSIH rally that happened in KL as well fortnight ago.And this time I can smell something "racist" behind the whole incident...

By Malaysiakini on Youtube

According to some correspondant in the city,it had been reported that the city lock-down and blocks by the police are much greater and heavier than the BERSIH rally. The attitude of the police and FRU(riot police) also show a major difference compared to the BERSIH rally.

Some police officers even issued a racist order,to halt and questioned any Indian to be seen in the city,or driving into the city. And too,the FRU show no tolerence and rational by shooting around 200 bullets of tear gas and rounds of chemical-laced water cannons to the protesters, and its not only once, but times and times since as early as 7.40 in the morning. One word to describe I should say - "BLOODY",its simply bloody.

Now,look back two weeks ago,in the BERSIH rally, although the protesters reach as much as 40000 people, but not much violence was used except in Masjid Jamek, and I can be so sure that the tear gas fired were not more than 50 or even lesser.

And overall the BERSIH rally was kinda peaceful and succesful, with much tolerence by the police. So in another words, demostration and protest became violence due to the police. Why can't the police show some tolerence like the BERSIH rally,to the Hindraf rally. Why must the police and FRU treat today's rally so heavily and badly?

Obviously,a double-standard situation you can see.Afterall, this country is still too much about racial and racist.

If the BERSIH rally is labelled as Malays protest, while the Hindraf rally is labelled as Indians protest...So,what is this? You guys are smart enough to know why and how.

For more followups, please view Malaysiakini and MerdekaReview.I bet you won't see most of this on your daily newspapers.

General Erection

The rumours about general election is getting hotter and hotter nowadays. But before the general election, here comes the general erection.

The price of everything is going up,not going down

Price of Nestle products on the hike.

Just only by this year, the price of Nestle products such as Milo and other dairy products such as milk powder had rised a few times, each time 5% to 8%.Although these stuff are not price-controlled items by the government, but they're important daily needs for nearly all the people of Malaysia.

Will you stop going to mamak stall although the price of the drink are raising higher and higher?

The price hike on dairy products and nestle products will eventually cause a chain reaction in the country. The price for Milo Ais,Nescafe Ais,Teh Tarik which are a must for Mamak-lovers will increase as well.

Imagine 1 day when teh tarik reaches RM2 per cup.

Even that day when I bought myself a packet of Milo Ais,the price actually hit RM2! Half year ago,it was just RM1.80,and now you see the difference.

On Sept 15, the price of enriched wheat flour went up from RM1.70 to RM1.80 per kilo to RM2 to RM2.10.This will cause another super-erection-chain-reaction.Enrinched wheat flour is used to make breads, buns, yellow noddles, thosai and beehoon,it is not an price-controlled item, unlike the plain what flour which is used to make kuih and roti canai is an controlled item.

I told my friend that day,eat bread when we're finacially tight. But now eat bread also expensive laa.

So,this means that the food that we are eating daily, ranging from sandwich to breads, from hokkien mee to curry mee,and from thosai to chapati, will face a rise in the price anytime from now.

According to some economy observer, the price hike for all daily utilities and products for this year had reached about 10% averagely;and please bear in mind that 2007 has not ended yet, meaning the percentage may goes higher than expected.

So,just get ready to be "erected".

Although there's still no official announcement by the government, but it is expected that several highways and expressways in the Klang Valley including North-South Expressway will raise the toll fare, according to the concessions and contracts signed.

On the other hand,as the international oil price hit USD90 per barrel,it's just the matter of time when will the government to decrease the heavy subsidy on the petrol price, and raise the price for petrol.

When the toll hike and petrol hike comes together, this is what I call a super-massive-erection-chain reaction where almost all the price of the goods we are using will be affected.Because logistics and transport company needs petrol or diesel to run their truck and lorries on highways and expressways,to ensure that goods and products are sent nationwide.

Nearly everything and goods produced need logistics and transport company to deliver their goods, including food products and so on.So,when the petrol price and toll are raised,it means that the cost will raised as well. So,where will these additional cost goes to? To the consumer and people, like us.Retailers will increase their prices as the middleman/distributors have increased theirs, taking the cue from the manufacturers and factories, hence this is the so called chain-reactions.

So,at that time,it's not surprise to see goods and products price rising high, and inflation going worst.

Still haven't feel the "heatwave" of the general erection? Visit to your nearby mamak stalls, kopitiams, warungs or talk to some daddy and mummy who have 3 kids at home. You'll know how and why.

The forgotten day - Selamat Hari Malaysia

September 16.Maybe it's just another ordinary day.

44 years ago,a parade in Singapore celebrating the forming of Malaysia.

But in this day,44 years ago,in 1963,Malaysia was born. With the merging of Malaya,Sabah,Sarawak and Singapore. The dreams of Tunku and millions of people on a Happy Malaysia came true.

Sadly, what happened next was unpredictable.Singapore pulled out 2 years soon after that and followed by the 513 incident that crushed the nation in 1969,history was rewritten.

13 States and 3 Federal Territories of Malaysia

How many people actually remember this day?The day when Malaysia was really formed, the real independance day for Sabah and Sarawak and Malaysia.

31 August is just the independance for the then Federation of Malaya(Peninsular Malaysia). Is it true to marginalise the rights of Sabah and Sarawak to celebrate the actual independance day of theirs? Why isn't the government placing Hari Malaysia as the nation's main celebration event?Do we still remember the true Malaysian spirit that hold us together?Do we still hold on with spirit of Constitution and Social Contract?

Wayang kulit show that will be replayed year by year.

After 50 years of independance and 44 years after the forming of Malaysia.Racial issues and discrimanations still rule the country harshly. Our mentality remains the same, despite the skyscrappers and buildings that was built more and more every year.As I always said-"First class facility, but third class mentality".How can we become an advance nation on 2020 like that?

Jalur Gemilang makes me proud,sometimes.

Malaysia is for Malaysian.Malaysia is our home, present and forever.Remember the spirit of September 16.

Selamat Hari Malaysia.
